As part of our on-going efforts to increase and engage the overall participation of traditionally underrepresented groups* in the wearable and ubiquitous computing community, this year we are providing individual mentoring opportunities at Ubicomp 2017. The mentorship program aims to provide one-to-one networking opportunities to the individuals (including, but not limited to, African Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, persons with disabilities, women and veterans) who can benefit most from exposure to the greater Ubicomp community through a renowned mentor. The program will take place every morning of the main conference dates (13-15 September) over breakfast (provided by the conference).
Please apply online for the mentorship program by August 31st. For more details and information contact the Broadening Participation Chair at Mashhadi@uw.edu.
Please note this program does NOT give you access to the conference itself and does not wave off the registration fee. To attend Ubicomp 2017, follow the registration process.
