UbiComp / ISWC 2023
Call for Participation

UbiComp/ISWC 2023 offers authors a number of ways to publish and present work, interact, discuss and learn, along with dedicated opportunities for students. Each type of submission and its deadlines are described on the pages linked which follow.

UbiComp/ISWC 2023 will be held from 8th to 12th October, and as in past years will feature work from both UbiComp and ISWC (with a single registration fee). Registration is open and we welcome you to register and join us in Cancun.

Submitting & Presenting

*UbiComp/ISWC 2023 will follow an in-person format of the conference in accordance with agreements among the General Chairs, the Steering Committees and ACM.

We will support alternative ways to present for authors who are not able to attend despite having an accepted contribution. Other forms of presentations will be approved in exceptional cases and will be discussed case by case. All presenters requesting alternative presentation than in-person will need to clearly justify it and motivate it. Exceptional cases, should not be limited to those situations related to COVID-19 and every case will be given a fair treatment as in previous UbiComp/ISWC conferences.

Specific tracks like Workshops, the Doctoral Consortium, ISWC Design Exhibitions, Posters & Demos, will only run at the conference if there is a minimum attendance following the conference format.

Submission Process

All submissions are made through the Precision Conference System (PCS 2.0).
Please refer to the single submission venues and tracks for details about the specific submission process.

UbiComp / ISWC

Past Conferences

The ACM international joint conference on Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing (UbiComp) is the result of a merger of the two most renowned conferences in the field: Pervasive and UbiComp. While it retains the name of the latter in recognition of the visionary work of Mark Weiser, its long name reflects the dual history of the new event.

The ACM International Symposium on Wearable Computing (ISWC) discusses novel results in all aspects of wearable computing, and has been colocated with UbiComp and Pervasive since 2013.

A complete list of UbiComp, Pervasive, and ISWC past conferences is provided below.
